First mentioned in the 13th century, family-owned since 1810. Markus Obermoser, the current "Tiafinga" is heading the hotel in 9th generation.
How did it come about? The beginnings of the present Tiefenbrunner go back to Josef Steiner. He bought the “Tiefenbrunner” and the “Welserhaus” in 1810, which have been passed down from generation to generation – until today.
Hugo Mamoser, great-grandson of Josef Steiner, became known as the first “Tiafinga” – a role now, several generations later, held by Markus Obermoser. With love for the integrity and history of the house, he is heading the hotel full of commitment and enthusiasm for the well-being of his guests, yet also full of curiosity for the modern times and the appreciation for what makes the Tiefenbrunner what it is today: the centuries-old tradition.
